What is Dormaflow?
Dormaflow is a property management system (PMS) for hostels. It manages beds, bookings, guests, housekeeping and payments, and gives you a direct booking site. It runs in the browser on a laptop, tablet or phone.
Who is Dormaflow designed for?
Independent and growing hostels, typically 20 to 100 beds, that want one system instead of spreadsheets and chat groups. We are onboarding our first hostels in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
Can Dormaflow manage individual dorm beds?
Yes. Every bed is its own unit on the floor plan, including bunk pairs, with its own status (available, occupied, cleaning, out of service). Dorms can be mixed or gender-specific.
Can I manage private rooms too?
Yes. Private rooms sit on the same floor plan and calendar as your dorms.
Can I use Dormaflow alongside Booking.com?
Yes. Keep your Booking.com listing. Record those bookings in Dormaflow at the desk or import them, mark them as paid through the OTA, and grow direct bookings alongside.
Can I use Dormaflow alongside Hostelworld?
Yes, in the same way as Booking.com. Dormaflow does not take any fee on bookings that come through an OTA.
Does Dormaflow synchronise with OTAs automatically?
Not as a general feature yet. Today you record OTA bookings at the desk or import them from a spreadsheet, and Dormaflow keeps them beside your direct bookings. Channel-manager connections (Channex, SiteMinder) exist and are being certified with pilot hostels; ask on a walkthrough whether your property can join.
How do direct booking fees work?
Bookings paid by card through your Dormaflow booking site cost 6% of the booking value, and that includes Stripe card processing. Payments settle to your hostel's own Stripe account. Bookings you enter at the desk, cash and pay-on-arrival carry no Dormaflow fee.
What payment methods are supported?
Online: card payments through Stripe Checkout on your booking site. Thai hostels with a Stripe account that has PromptPay enabled can also offer PromptPay at checkout (Premium and above). At the desk: cash and pay-on-arrival, plus marking a booking as paid through an OTA.
Can housekeeping staff use Dormaflow?
Yes. The housekeeping board works on a phone: see room status, open tasks, and mark rooms clean or dirty in one tap. Role-based permissions (Premium) let you limit what housekeeping accounts can see.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Dormaflow is cloud software, not an offline-first app. When the connection degrades, the dashboard keeps showing the last confirmed state with a visible delay indicator, and staff can refresh or recover manually. Card payments need a connection; cash check-ins do not.
Can I manage multiple properties?
Not yet. Each Dormaflow workspace runs one property today. If you operate more than one hostel, book a walkthrough and we will talk through what that would look like.
How does pricing work?
Three plans: Basic $20, Premium $40 and Ultimate $60 per month, billed monthly in USD. Every plan starts with a 60-day free trial. Card required; billing starts after your trial. Card bookings through your booking site cost 6% including Stripe processing. To cancel, email [email protected]; self-service cancellation is not available yet.
